 Hamer
Stevenson Ltd. part of the Manflex
group of companies, has been operating from their
Oldham works since 1981. Operating both as manufacturers
and distributors, the company specialise in the production
of flexible stainless steel pipes and piping components
associated with the fire suppression industry, and
are stockists for Aeroquip 'Flexmaster' pipe couplings
and Ompi rotary unions.
 Development
of a manufacturing capability - with specialised TIG
welding equipment and highly trained welders ensuring
high standards of assembly - has enabled Hamer Stevenson
to greatly enhance its overall service to customers;
this is especially true of the convoluted stainless
steel hose market which normally demands a quick response
to its requirements.

Stainless
steel hoses
Convoluted/braided stainless steel hoses manufactured
in house by coded welders, working to British and
European Standards, provide industry with a high temperature
and chemical resistant hose solution. Sizes range
from 6mm to 250mm NB in 321 and 316 st.st. with a
multitude of screwed, flanged, and unique end fittings
available.
Synthetic
rubber and PTFE hoses
We assemble conventional synthetic rubber , PTFE,
and thermoplastic hoses in our hose shop and have
the ability to respond (in house) to those emergency
situations when a hose fails. The range of hose materials
is far reaching and we can call upon the world wide
resources of major manufacturers.
Fire
suppression components and hoses
Sophisticated, gaseous fire suppression systems are
now employed to reduce damage to a minimum when controlling
fires in hi- tech areas such as computer facilities.
We manufacture to design specification, specialised
components including manifolds, nozzles, hoses and
valves for CO2, 150 and 200 Bar systems.
Aeroquip
'Flexmaster' couplings
We are UK distributors for 'Flexmaster', a coupling
designed to join two plain ends of pipe or tube and
providing a measure of misalignment and anti-vibration.
The coupling uses two gaskets (various materials)
which seal on the outside diameter of the tube or
pipe, and are available with wetted parts in plated
mild steel or some styles in stainless. Used typically
on engines, compressors, and packaged modules, e.g.
pumping and heating units.
Ompi rotary unions
A 37 year association with rotary unions and their
applications make us appreciate this excellent Italian
union. The range incorporates some desirable features,
e.g. extensive use of stainless steel in the popular
sizes, and high density carbon seal and bearings,
the latter easily replaceable, single and double flow
features using an adapter incorporating two sizes
of syphon thread. Very competitively priced, and even
more so when the stainless content of these unions
is acknowledged.
